Renee Booker

Most recently Mr. Booker served as Director of Financial Operations for the Social Development Commission and managed an operating
budget that exceeded 28 million dollars. Prior to that Mr. Booker served as Deputy Secretary for the Board of Commissioners of Public
Lands in Madison and had responsibility for the oversight of staff, operations and trust funds that exceeded 700 million dollars.
Prior to his employ with The State, Mr. Booker worked for Milwaukee County for 26 years and held a number of positions including
Director – Finance and Operations for the Dept. on Aging, Division Administrator for Child Welfare, Accounting Manager, Dept. of
Administration, and Director of Industries for the House of Correction.
Mr. Booker is a Certified Government Financial Manager, and earned a Certificate in Public Administration from the University of
Wisconsin, Milwaukee. He has an Associate Degree in Accounting from Stratton College and Bachelor Degrees in Business Administration
and Accounting from Lakeland College. He is a member of Government Finance Officers Association, Association of Government Accountants
and a member of the Nation Forum for Black Public Administrators. Mr. Booker currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Council
for Spanish Speaking and Wisconsin Community Services (WCS).
